rhinoplasty
rhinoplasty is perhaps the most difficult operation to perform in facial plastic surgery. every nose is different so the surgeon must be comfortable with a myriad of techniques. certain noses are best for endonasal rhinoplasty, while others mandate an open procedure. dr. shah performs both at a high level and without bias, allowing dr. shah to truly tailor each nose to the individual patient. dr. shah has trained under arguably the world's best external rhinoplasty surgeon and revison surgeon and the world's best endonasal surgeon. as every nose and face are unique there are at least 100 points of analysis which the surgeon must make to establish a reasonable approach to each patient's individual anatomy. dr. shah formulates a surgical plan based on his precise diagnosis on physical exam coupled with high quality photographic stills. dr. shah utilizes photoimaging as a guide to help facilitate patient understanding and as an actual reference during surgery. just as dr. shah utilizes a model when sculpting with clay, he utilizes a series of intraoperative photographs to guide his surgical gameplan. dr. shah does not create a "type" of nose, aka scooped, strong, narrow, etc. instead he creates an individual nose based on his thorough exam, photographic analysis, and interviewing each patient. importantly, dr. shah works with each patient to guide them to receiving the nose the desire, rather than impose his own vision. A successful nasal operation improves both the nasal appearance and function and lasts the patient's lifetime.
